I've been a small contributor to JBossCache for a few years now. Manik and Bela have been great leaders for this awesome project. I never thought an open source project could be so large and that I could meet so many awesome developers through it.
Incase you have not heard about it, JBoss Cache is an enterprise level data grid solution that is loaded with useful features such as eviction, transactions, replication and cache. The project's goal is to provide enterprise-grade clustering solutions for frameworks or application servers built on the Java programming language.
I was working in the part of the project that had to deal with high availability clustering and enjoyed making the software resilient to crashes or system restarts. As you can see I can talk for hours on this topic.
