This Stunning French clock was made in about 1880.

It is a very substantial piece and is quite heavy.

This would look wonderful in the right location and would certainly be the talking point in anyone’s home.

It has a gilt spelter figure holding aloft what I as a layman believe to be the sign of a Messenger.

It has gilt brass roman numerals set on the dial and gilt hands.

It is made from I believe Italian Red Marble and would have been an expensive and quality clock when it was first purchased.

It is an 8 day French movement, striking on a bell the hours and half hour.
